Islamic Literature Project
This program involves publication and distribution of Islamic literature aimed at portraying the true image of Islam and clarifying the misunderstandings of modern Muslim mind. Besides translation into ‘English’ of important Islamic literature available in Urdu, the project also envisages translation into other languages e.g. Persian and Pashto and translation into Urdu of important contemporary books on Islam in English and Arabic. WIT collaborates and co-sponsors with other organizations / research institutions in the publication of Islamic literature.
Recently translation of Holy Qur’an by Dr. Zafar Ishaq Ansari ‘Towards Understanding Qur’an’ based on Urdu translation of Sayyid Mawdudi (RA) has been sponsored and distributed.
A few books are under process for publication and a lot more have been planned to be added to this project in near future. Latest title published is 'Islam and The Secular Mind' consistency of eight writings of Sayyid Abul Ala Mawdudi selected from his books "Tanqihat" and "Tafhimat"; translated, annotated and edited by Tarik Jan.
