Qur’an House

Qur'an House

To disseminate the teachings of Holy Qur'an, WIT has established Qur'an House. The Qur'an House is purely a purpose-orientated, non-commercial, non-political, and non-sectarian institute striving to cultivate mass awareness about the Qur'anic teachings.

Qur'an House is committed to teaching Qur'an Recitation (Nazra) with correct pronunciation (Tajweed) and Qur'an Memorization (Hifz) to boys and girls in a child friendly environment, equipped with modern audio-visual teaching aids and computers etc. Presently a large campus is functioning at Al Huda Masjid, Markaz F-7. Different programs arranged by the Qur'an House are:

1.Taleem-ul-Quran

This program is divided into two parts.

I.Hifz-e-Qur'an
The Hifz-e-Qur'an course was started in 1998. The objective of the course is to prepare Huffaz of the Qur'an, who not only recite the Qur'an by heart but can also grasp meanings and message of Qur'anic verses, and can live their lives according to the Divine Words of Allah. More than 400 students enrolled over last 10 years and about 110 have completed Hifz. A regular class of 30 ~ 40 students is maintained for Hifz on full time basis.

II.Nazra
To learn how to recite Qur'an properly is a basic responsibility of each Muslim and it is a matter of fact that all Muslim families try their best to arrange teachers or send their children to Mosques for learning the Qur'an. The Qur'an House is providing the facility of Nazra program in the evening at the campus, especially to the residents of the nearby area.

2.Fehm-e-Qur'an Courses

Fehm-e-Qur'an Courses are arranged at regular intervals for professionals and educated sections of the society, such as Doctors, Engineers, Traders, Teachers and social workers. Such courses include Tajweed, basic beliefs, manners of worship, rights and obligations of a Muslim, principles and laws, which are revealed in the Holy Qur'an.

3.Promoting knowledge about Qur'an

Occasionally Qur'an House arranges Qir'at competition, quiz competition, and summer camps etc. for students of different schools of Islamabad. A solemn passing out ceremony for the students of Qur'an House who complete Hifz is regularly held. Co-curricular activities for the Hifz-e-Qur'an class are regularly arranged.

4.Qur'an Class

Under this program WIT sponsors a Qur'an teacher (Qari) alongwith audio-visual teaching aids to start Qur'an class in schools who agree to collaborate with WIT. The schools provide premises and offer Qur'an Nazra with Tajweed teaching to their students. The facility for Qur'an Memorization (Hifz) simultaneously with regular studies of key subjects is also offered to the willing intelligent students.
